As a member since 2000, Sue proudly serves as president of the Bell Street Artists, a group who share a creative passion in a variety of mediums and are devoted to promote the arts in their communities. She studied fine arts at Cooper Union under the mentor of Rueben Kadish, earning a BFA. Her concentration is currently oil painting, ceramics and drawing and regularly exhibits in numerous galleries, colleges and libraries on Long Island. She works from her studio in Miller Place with a focus on figurative art, often using the name Sutin. Founder of the former Papier Gallery, located in Bellport, NY, a gallery dedicated to exhibiting works of local artists and students, seeding the growth of the arts in eastern Suffolk. There she served for 3 years as artistic consultant and gallery director. She has also instructed life drawing, juried shows and continues to stay active in the arts.
